Transfiguration Lutheran

This project involved designing a 16,000 square foot addition and remodeling their existing building. The addition included a new family activity center, kitchen, choir room, and classrooms. The existing pre-school classrooms were also remodeled as a part of the project. A number of challenges were confronted in the project. Unstable soils on the site required a special structural system. We also assisted the owner in obtaining a variance from the City of Bloomington that was needed in order to build the addition. Applied acoustical considerations to music rehearsal rooms including angled walls to prevent echo and a mix of reflective and absorbing materials.
