To achieve equitable, timeless building design, time must be invested in several areas of the process. Finding out about and understanding a client’s needs cannot be done quickly – the key is to take the time to interview and understand as many users of the space and carefully document our findings for a future design process.
When doing the preliminary design work, a significant amount of time must be invested to achieve high-quality interventions. Most projects reveal more than one solution. An investment in an architect gives the client access to the architects’ experience and expertise.
Time must be spent on exploring options. If too little time is spent on design, the client's true intentions for the project may be overlooked. The more time spent on design, the more likely the interventions will be appropriate for the project and fit the client’s needs.
Our process involves a considerable amount of time to achieve the best design solution, plain and simple. Time is required to coordinate architectural work with other professionals and trades. Our commitment to working with the client through all phases of design continues through construction. Site visits are also crucial to the design process, ensuring that all intentions are clearly communicated and executed. The architect will continually to work with the client, making sure informed decisions are made and the project is carried out in an enjoyable, efficient manner.
