In progress
Minneapolis Parks and Recreation Board manages countless facilities and amenities throughout Minneapolis’ numerous parks and outdoor spaces, and with such outreach requires a well-functioning facility. The Southside Service Center is a major base for maintenance and development operations, and in order to ensure that such activities happen smoothly, a functioning facility must be maintained. Busch Architects was brought in to design and coordinate the existing roof to be demolished and subsequently replaced. The first phase replaced the sloped shingle roof and the second phase addresses the flat roof in two parts. Ensuring that demolition and construction activities didn’t cause any disruption to MPRB staff daily operations was a major effort coordinated by BAI and contractors.
